Hitachi Energy Switzerland Ltd, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. As a Local Product Group of High Voltage Products, the High Current Systems unit is responsible for the development, sales, manufacturing, and service of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems. In this challenging role, you successfully manage configured, according customer request, generator circuit delivery projects and you confidently represent the interests of Hitachi Energy towards our customers. It is our goal to continuously follow up the projects, to improve our results and to offer excellent commercial and technical solutions. For this challenging opportunity, we are looking for someone, who has a technical background with experience in a Project Management position and who is able to plan, manage and control all of the project activities with a hands-on approach and international exposure. Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall execution of customer projects by involving different teams, such as engineering, product care and production
• Actively contributes as a project manager to the project phases of handover from sales, project structuring and planning, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation (if applicable), testing, handover to customer and ultimately closing
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all of them
• Act as the main contact for our international customers in daily communication, leading face to face customer meetings and factory acceptance tests to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued
• Effectively monitor and control project progress, use of resources and project financials
• Prioritize tasks, ensuring completion of key work packages as well as efficient reporting of project status
• Participate during shop floor meetings and weekly reviews

Your background

• BSc or MSc of mechanical or (preferred) electrical engineering or similar is a must
• Financial education or experience is a plus
• Experience in project management, preferably in the High Voltage industry
• Project Management certification is an advantage
• Highly proficient spoken and written English is a must, German is an advantage; other languages such as Spanish, French, Russian,... advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and find constructive and pragmatic solutions in a fast developing environment
• Well-structured and stress resistant multi-tasker
