About ASEF Communications Department
ASEF’s Communications Department (COM) is responsible for corporate communications. It promotes Asia-Europe cooperation by advancing awareness and knowledge of ASEF, ASEM and key topics in Asia-Europe relations. Aimed at a diverse range of constituencies, including the media and general public, the COM's activities foster greater mutual understanding between Asia and Europe through overseeing ASEF’s websites, newsletters and social media platforms. It organises projects around the Media theme from time to time, such as the ASEF Journalists Seminar.
About The Position
ASEF is seeking to hire a highly self-motivated, hardworking, experienced and creative Project Manager who can be a good team member to assist the Director of Communications in furthering the mission of the Department. The Project Manager will work with a team of 2-3 communications professionals while implementing his own Project.
The appointment is on a one-year contract basis with an initial 3-month probation period.

Candidates must be citizens and passport holders of ASEM[1] countries
Remuneration
The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary commensurate with her/his qualifications and work experience. Other applicable benefits include an annual wage supplement, paid leave and medical benefits.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Support thought leadership through ideas, speeches, messages, reports, branding, message house, and fun events around bringing Asia and Europe closer
- Budget planning and expenditure
- Manage stakeholders such as officials, press, think tanks and alumni
- Organise outreach events such as press conference, book launch, lecture and webcast
- Develop and implement the organisation’s Public Relations Strategy, including Social Media and Mass Media
- Manage websites, publish newsletters, annual reports and other occasional books
- Operate social media channels, including content development and production
- Be a Project Manager
- Other related tasks assigned by the Communications Director
- A creative, independent and tireless worker with good judgment and ability to make decisions in a fast-changing working environment who is also a strong team player
- Good writing and language skills in English; must be a good communicator with a strong level of interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple assignments and deadlines
- Project management competencies
- Experience/Knowledge in working with the media
- Experience in running social media campaign
- Competence in using an array of tools including Hootsuite, Hubspot, Formstack, Mailchimp, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Analytics
- Competence in graphic design, webcasting, copywriting
- Competence in data analysis
- Competence in using design software such as Adobe Creative, Canva, Powerpoint
- Knowledge of desktop publication
- Ability to use social media platforms like Facebook, Twittter, etc
- Ability to operate/willingness to learn video-making and photography
- A bachelor's degree or higher in mass communications, design or related studies
- Relevant work experience, in staff work and/or policy related duties and implementing social media campaigns
- Candidates without all the skill-sets or experience are also welcomed so long as they indicate their gaps
