
Physician Assistant (PA)
A managed healthcare organization in New York City is actively seeking a new, licensed Physician Assistant (PA) for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Manhattan.
- Review and make recommendations on consumer assessments on long term care services and supports
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes pertaining to quality and validity of assessments
- Assess cases presented and utilizes clinical competencies to determine confirm and validate the assessment outcomes
- Monitor and address clinical quality and gaps in care
- Provide clinical and educational assistance to support project initiatives
- Participate in performance, improvement, and quality assurance activities and related meetings
- Provide clinical and educational support to meet program goals
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management
- 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Work experience with the Adult / Geriatric population, home care experience
- Experience working with individuals with Physical or Developmental Disabilities
- Home Care background
- Computer savvy
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Master's Degree
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Bilingual (English and Bengali, Chinese, Haitian-Creole, Korean, Russian, or Spanish)
- Knowledge of Long Term Care services and programs
