
Manager, Sales Training

- Plan, design, facilitate, instruct and evaluate training classes on branded products, therapeutic categories and selling skills and update the courses regularly to meet the needs of the sales organization. Evaluate therapeutic area strategy and develop initial and continuous learning curriculum aligned with individual product training.
- Provide strategic oversight and project management acumen in the development and implementation of product and sales skills curriculum.
- Manage vendor/partner relationships in the development of product and skill curriculum, including budget oversight.
- Design and enhance current curriculum to meet evolving customer and team needs.
- Oversee designated Phase Training meetings to include planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring and participant conduct.
- Ability to work in a cross functional and matrix environment.
- Present learning and development strategies to senior business leads with clear understanding of cost structure, creation and execution process and estimated delivery timing.
- Exceptional oral presentation skills and written communication skills.
- Design and execute POA meeting / National Sales Meeting training workshops in coordination with Brand and Business stakeholders.
- Utilize knowledge of blended learning modalities to develop continuous learning initiatives (product or selling skill specific) to support the on-going development of generic, branded and branded generic sales force.
- Collaborate closely as an integral member of the sales leadership, compliance, legal, marketing and operations teams, applying instructional system design methodology to ensure business plan goals are integrated into all learning activities.
- Participate actively in assessing learning needs, via formal needs analyses, of the sales organization and in developing training strategies and plans for established and new products.
- Provide classroom, in-field and distance learning curriculum to sales representatives, managers and strategic partners.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to excel in a team environment by helping others.
- Support product launches by close partnership with the therapeutic, brand and generic teams, developing materials and training and providing consultation to marketing and sales with regard to how to train the sales organization on new products.
- Independently design/develop new training programs and concepts while managing internal and external support.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head, NA Sales Training and Sr. Manager, Respiratory Training.
- Respiratory Therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
- Education: BS/BA degree.
- Four Years minimum Biotech/Pharmaceutical Experience.
- Demonstrated successful experience developing, delivering and maintaining training strongly preferred.
- Field training experience as regional sales / field sales trainer strongly preferred.
- Corporate training experience desired.
- Strong field sales performance.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to excel in a team environment by helping others.
- Exceptional oral presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and matrix environment.
- Ability to apply metrics and track key performance indicators to facilitate evidence based learning strategies.
- Must be able to self-motivate and demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to perform effectively without supervision.
- Expertise in key software tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Zoom, Teams) is highly desirable.
- Respiratory Therapeutic area experience is strongly preferred.
- Polished platform skills, excellent written communication and experience as group facilitator.
- Proven leadership in a team environment and ability to collaborate with wide variety of strategic partners.
- Proven track record of sales success.
- Ability to apply metrics and track key performance indicators to facilitate evidence based learning strategies.
- Understands and can apply of principles of adult learning.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Project design/development and implementation skills.
- Certifications in formal learning methodology is highly advantageous (ISD, Experiential Learning, Metrics and Evaluation, Instructional Design).
- Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.
- Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. Periodic travel is required.
- Normal office situation.
- This position will be Remote.
- This position will require a minimum of 30% travel, which may include overnight stays.
- Periodically required to attend sales meetings and off-site trainings.
- Normal business hours.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
