Account Manager – Commercial Aerospace and Defense (A&D)
The Commercial A&D Account Manager will support accounts in need of and in support of IT services, program execution and consulting services. The successful candidate will develop customer relationships and drive sales of Commercial services to A&D prospects and current customers. The position is responsible to achieve sales and revenue growth targets through consistent account management activities as well as acquiring new accounts. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals set by the leadership team through aggressive prospecting and selling. A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of IT modernization, cloud services, software development, DevOps, cyber security, IT Engineering, and complex networks across commercial and secure environments with the ability to work on large opportunities, applying a consultative and trusted advisor approach.

- Build strong client relationships to maintain and grow current business
- Engage with technical development teams to refine services and solutions
- Collect and analyze information concerning customer activities and changing needs
- Ability to identify customer challenges and position new or organic opportunities for growth
- Facilitate customer meetings, both on and off site
- Act as the customer’s advocate by collaborating with internal departments to ensure the customer’s service needs and project requirements are understood
- Manage activities directed at resolving customer complaints
- Oversee day-to-day management of Commercial sales operation activities
- Train company personnel on Account Management departmental work procedures
- Develop short- and long-term sales goals/forecasts
- Participate in Commercial marketing, advertising and networking events and activities
- Attend tradeshows and conferences on behalf of Sev1Tech
- Salary up to 150k DOE
- Create Sev1Tech's Business Development initiatives with the Growth Team
- Support proposal development by interpretation of requirements into a statement of work
- The position is responsible in achieving sales and revenue growth targets through consistent account management activities as well as acquiring new accounts.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals set by the leadership team through aggressive prospecting and selling
- Minimum ten years of commercial account management/value added reseller experience, five years of which are in the Aerospace and Defense IT industry
- Experience in professional services or managed services delivery environment preferred
- Experience with executing NDAs, MSAs and other terms and conditions/contract types
- Experience working in an IT environment
- Experience coordinating projects across multi-departmental teams
- Experience in the use of computer software programs commonly found in sales/account management and
- IT environments, such as: MS Office, Outlook and CRM systems; data analytics software such as Power BI is preferred
- Ability to travel to Domestic locations up to 25% of the time
- A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role.
- Minimum of US Government Secret Clearance
- TS Clearance
- Familiarity with government regulations/compliance and secure environments such as NIST 800-171, ICD 503/705, ITAR and CMMC
